Explore One of the World's Largest Microdata Collections
Since 1964, Data and Statistical Services (DSS) has been collecting data to build one of the world’s largest microdata collections. In addition to memberships with large data providers such as ICPSR, Roper, Social Science Electronic Data Library, and Statistics Canada, DSS collects from associations, governmental organizations, and private companies. Agreements with the European Union and the United Kingdom Data Archive help facilitate data access. A few highlights include data on economics, education, elections, environment, ethnicity, and race, finance, health, labor, public opinion, real estate, and the governments of India and Palestine. In addition, DSS provides social science methodological support and statistical software support for R/R Studio, Stata, Matlab, Python (for text mining and social science applications), SAS, and SPSS. This program will be held at Firestone Library in room B-6-F.
