This class introduces disability and digital accessibility. It is designed for staff and for any member of the University community interested in how to ensure websites and digital information are accessible to people with disabilities.

The class is co-taught with colleagues from the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. They will demonstrate using a screen reader to navigate a website, and help participants explore a number of other assistive technologies commonly used by people who are blind or low vision.

Participants will leave this class with a better understanding of the challenges people with disabilities encounter when accessing digital information, and learn what small adjustments they can make to their own content.

To request disability-related accommodations, please contact accessibility@princeton.edu at least one week in advance.
