Book talk on "Plastic Capitalism: Banks, Credit Cards, and the End of Financial Control" with author Sean Vanatta, Senior Lecturer in Financial History and Policy at the University of Glasgow. The book explores economic and financial history, particularly the 1960s-1980s, when efforts to impose tighter regulation on credit cards failed. Following initial remarks, Julian Zelizer, Malcolm Stevenson Forbes, Class of 1941 Professor of History and Public Affairs, Princeton University, will be in conversation with Vanatta.
