A speaker event uncovering the history of prison experimentation in the United States. The event will explore the exploitation of incarcerated people by medical researchers in the 20th century. In this talk, Allen Hornblum, author of Acres of Skin, and Irvin Moore, a formerly incarcerated African-American man subjected to medical experimentation in Holmesburg Prison in Philadelphia, will speak on and take questions regarding this historic and disturbing American practice.
