Workshop: Expressive Potential of Everyday Materials: Pantyhose
For Princeton students, a workshop on creating an evocative work of art with pantyhose.
Explore how simple materials can convey complex narratives in this workshop for Princeton University students, led by artist Veronica Olivares–Weber. Inspired by iMaid ka Lova ne Maid ye Nja (Lova’s maid meets the Dog’s maid) by South African artist Turiya Magadlela — featured in Princeton Collects — participants will stretch, layer, and stitch pantyhose, tights, and other fabrics to create vibrant and evocative works of art. The workshop kicks off with a gallery visit to view and discuss Magadlela’s work.
Free; registration required.
