Elizabethtown Water Company has announced that its current water supply is more than sufficient to meet normal demand for this time of year. Accordingly, it has lifted any restrictions on the use of water. Members of the campus community are free to resume regular patterns of consumption.
Moreover, the utility announced over the weekend that it had lifted sanitary restrictions on the use of tap water after repeated tests failed to show any evidence of contamination. The water is considered safe for consumption.
The members of the ad hoc committee convened by Vice President for Finance and Administration Richard Spies to frame Princeton's response to the water crisis wish to thank all members of the campus community -- students, faculty, and staff -- for their efforts to conserve since the crisis began 10 days ago.
