Learn-to-Sew Thrift Flip
At this 3-hour hands-on workshop, Makerspace Consultant Anna Kerr will give an introduction to sewing fundamentals. The tutorial will cover sewing machine parts and their functions, how to thread a machine and wind a bobbin, and the basics of fabrics and stitches.
As a practice exercise, we will rework button-down shirts into jackets. Participants may bring their own shirt or use one provided. The Makerspace will supply all other necessary materials and tools.
This small group workshop is capped at 3 participants, and registration is required. Participants will meet in the PUL Makerspace, on the A floor of the Lewis Science Library.
