Princeton University will hold its 279th Commencement for the Class of 2026 Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Princeton Stadium. President Christopher L. Eisgruber will preside over the ceremony, which includes the awarding of degrees and honorary degrees, teaching awards and remarks from the president, valedictorian and salutatorian.
The student procession begins at approximately 9:30 a.m., and the ceremony runs from 10:00 a.m. to about 11:30 a.m. Guests are highly encouraged to park at least one hour before the start of Commencement to avoid traffic and parking delays.
Each senior receives 8 guest tickets. In case of severe weather, Commencement is held in Jadwin Gym and students receive 3 rain tickets.
Diploma distribution and receptions in the residential colleges follow the commencement ceremony.
