Want to perform in Princeton Dance Festival (PDF) held November 20-22, 2026, at Berlind Theatre?
Participate Through a Course
Students of all class years who are interested in performing in PDF through the course DAN 328 “Princeton Dance Festival: Choreography and Performance” must attend Placement Class on September 1 at 3 p.m.
The works to be performed in the Festival that are part of DAN 328 include:
- Camille A. Brown’s City of Rain staged by Mora-Amina Parker
- Rashaun Mitchell+Silas Riener’s staging of an excerpt of their work Tesseract
- A new contemporary work by Davalois Fearon
Placement class is not an audition, however it is mandatory for interested dance students (all who attend will be placed in a section of the course). First-year students: let your advisor know you want to take a dance course.
DAN 328 meets three times each week: Mondays/Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m., plus a choreographic precept on Fridays (10 a.m. or 1:30 p.m., depending on class year and placement by faculty). On Mondays/Wednesdays, you will rehearse and learn repertoire to be performed in the Princeton Dance Festival; the Friday precept will offer instruction in choreography. You will have separate instructors for each component.
Participate Outside of a Course
Plan to attend Guest Choreographer Auditions on Sept. 4-5 if you want to perform in PDF but can’t take DAN 328. The works to be performed in the Festival by professional guest choreographers include:
- Caili Quan’s ballet, Playing Perspectives, restaged by Andie Yorita and Zachary Kapeluck
- A new street work by Tatiana Desardouin
- A new contemporary work by Keerati Jinakunwiphat
You may audition for all three guest choreographer opportunities but would only be cast in one.
