HMEI Faculty Seminar: "Seeing Beyond Sugar in Cuba" by Rachel Price
The High Meadows Environmental Institute (HMEI) will host a seminar by Rachel Price, Associate Professor of Spanish and Portuguese, on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Price is the first speaker in the Fall 2026 HMEI Faculty Seminar Series.
Price examines how nineteenth century-century Cuban art, archaeology and historical documents reveal botanical knowledge and practices beyond the monoculture of sugar.
