iASpace is where sound, bodies, and presence come together; an experiment in collective attention. It is an invitation to what is possible when listening is treated as a public resource, and when a space is dedicated to holding opacity rather than resolution. For seven days, the CoLab is transformed into a public space to stay, listen, return, and experience sound together.

Schedule of Live Sound Works:

• 9/29 at 5 PM — Sound performance with Leo Chang
• 10/1 at 6 PM — Somatic Resonance: Sound & Reiki workshop with Nanse & Bryce
• 10/3 at 2 PM — Synth Youth workshop with Sydney Spann
• 10/4 at 11 AM — Drone Decompression with Beth Meyers

The Listening Environment

iASpace is a living instrument shaped through sound, attention, and collective presence. From 10 AM–8 PM each day, the intentionally designed hi-fi room will continuously hold sound works by independent artists, sound practitioners, and Princeton students and faculty,
bringing together drones, frequencies, oral histories, compositions, and experiments. Visitors are invited as co-listeners, staying for five minutes or much longer. Live listening experiences, performances, and an intergenerational artist-led workshop will unfold throughout the week, allowing different practices and ways of listening to exist together.

Interaural Space draws from the work of composer Maryanne Amacher (1938–2009). These words describe the internal, 3-dimensional space created by the listener’s own ears; the perceptual space that emerges through sound.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. Open daily 10 AM - 8 PM.
