The Program in Theater and Music Theater is launching the Princeton Acting Ensemble, a small group (4-6 students) audition-based co-curricular acting intensive for serious students of the craft. This weekly intensive, meeting 8 times in the fall semester, is designed for students seeking sustained and rigorous training in acting. Led by faculty member and professional actor Chesney Snow, the Ensemble will function as a structured space for deep work cultivating technical precision, imaginative range, embodied intelligence, and performance fluency. The Ensemble is intended to supplement and enhance participation in program acting classes, and program and student group productions, rather than to replace them. The Acting Ensemble will meet on Monday afternoons from 4:45-6.30 p.m. in the fall semester only; students should be available for at least 7 of the 8 session dates listed below:
- September 21, 28
- October 5, 26
- November 2, 9, 16, 30
Small Group Auditions
Students interested in auditioning for the Princeton Acting Ensemble should sign up for a small group monologue workshop at either of these times:
- September 9 from either 5-6:30 PM or 7-8:30 PM in Drapkin Studio
- Sign up for a group monologue workshop
What to Prepare
Students may bring prepared monologues or monologues that they would like to work on, or use the materials provided in the workshop. Interested students should have previous experience either in high school or college productions or classes, but extensive experience is not required. First year students are encouraged to audition!
