Slow Looking Art Activity
Slow things down at Princeton University Library’s Milberg Gallery in Firestone Library.
Slow Looking is a method of art viewing that encourages prolonged observation and awareness.
Join us for a guided exploration of select objects in “Nursery of Rebellion: Princeton & the American Revolution,” the spring exhibition in the Milberg Gallery.
Visitors will be given a variety of prompts and strategies to begin the slow looking activity - first in small groups, and then individually. See what happens when you focus your attention on one object rather than taking in the entire exhibition.
No prior experience or prior knowledge of the exhibition is needed. Slow Looking is open to all.
