This program of influences and reverberations features Burkinabé composer and Princeton faculty member Olivier Tarpaga’s truly contemporary (2024) multi-movement percussion quartet Fēfē, as well as three new pieces for Sō Percussion.
We pair Tarpaga’s work with classics from the Reich percussion repertoire: Drumming part I, Music for Pieces of Wood, and Mallet Quartet.
