What is Philosophy and What is its Value?

Welcome to our first meeting as the Princeton Society of Philosophy Students! We'll start with a short intro to the society and what we have planned for the year. Afterward, we'll have the opportunity to hear Sagar Rao, a graduate student in the Philosophy Department, give a talk on what philosophy is, what its value is, and how these notions interact with calls to diversify the philosophical canon, followed by Q&A. We'll then break into small groups to discuss the questions his talk raises, with two rounds of discussion so you'll meet plenty of people. No background in philosophy is needed. All are welcome, and we'd love to see you there!
