From lab to ambulance, training pays off for EMT volunteer .

As a senior research specialist at a Princeton University lab that requires precision control over dust particles in the air, Eric Mills’ training gave him a special sort of insight as he confronts the coronavirus pandemic in a very different capacity. Mills volunteers for the Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad, an independent, nonprofit 110-member group of emergency medical technicians serving the Princeton area. He’s one of numerous members of the Princeton University community, mainly staff and students, who volunteer their time with area rescue crews.

Emergency notification system test set for Friday, Oct. 21 .

The University will conduct a campus-wide test of its emergency notification system beginning at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, to ensure that members of the University community can receive information during a campus crisis or emergency.

Update: Worker injured at 20 Washington Road construction site .

A construction worker suffered a leg injury around 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at the University building at 20 Washington Road that is undergoing renovation.

Worker injured in fall from Fisher Hall roof .

A 55-year-old contractor broke his ankle when he fell 20 feet from the roof of Fisher Hall dormitory in Whitman College at about 4:24 p.m. today. The man was installing sound equipment for a Reunions event.
