Science, Art, and Physicalization of Data: The Sociological White Cube
Join Bertrand Réau, Chair Professor and visiting researcher at Princeton University’s Department of Sociology, for a talk on data physicalizations and his piece "Empty Spaces, Unequal Traces: Sociological Counterpoints Beyond the White Cube's Canvas," on view in the PUL Makerspace through February.
Science and Art have complex links that deserve to be questioned. Creativity, imagination, innovation, hypotheses, protocols, audiences, impact on the world, education … these are just a few of the issues we will explore. If you are interested in debate, talk to sociologist and artist Bertrand Réau at his Sociological White Cube presentation on February 27 at noon. You can also discover the creations of several other researchers on this occasion.
The event will take place at the PUL Makerspace, Lewis Science Library, A Floor.
