'Mapping Princeton'

Many of the ways Princeton has been represented: from maps to 3-D modeling.

This video represents an artistic visual journey of the Princeton campus through old maps, satellite images, aerial footage and 3-D models, ending with a 360° spin around Nassau Hall. The Digital and Geospatial Information Center located in Lewis Library is a resource for historic Princeton University maps and aerial photographs, many of which are available online.

'A Year in Review: 2012-13' .

The academic year at Princeton starts in the warmth of September as new and returning students come to campus full of aspirations. Over the next several months, the campus is a hive of activity, as students study, pursue extracurricular interests and build friendships. In June, under the shady trees in front of Nassau Hall, the year comes to a close as new graduates leave campus and head out into the world.

The video "I <3 [Heart] Princeton" features some of the more 1,100 faculty members, nearly 8,000 undergraduates and graduate students, and almost 6,000 employees at the University, as well as some of the 80,000 alumni and parents, visitors and others, showing their appreciation for Princeton by making a heart symbol with their hands. From the leafy heart of campus to athletic events home and away, these individuals were eager to share their affinity for all Princeton has to offer.

Performing opera at Princeton .

For students who want to study and perform opera, coming to Princeton University allows them to pursue their musical interests while broadening their intellect with a liberal arts education. A wide variety of opera styles are studied and performed by Princeton students, and early opera (especially from the Baroque period) is a particular strength that has emerged from the Department of Music.
