Chaand Raat celebration planned

The Princeton student group Pehchaan will host a celebration of Chaand Raat ("Night of the New Moon"), with suggested donations to benefit Pakistani flood victims, at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, in the Rockfeller College Common Room.

Princeton to celebrate football success with bonfire tonight .

The Princeton University community is gearing up to celebrate the achievements of its football team this fall with a bonfire on Cannon Green, to be lit at 7 p.m. today. This is the second year in a row Princeton has swept Harvard and Yale in football in a season, leading to the bonfire, a campus tradition that dates to the late 1800s.

For the second straight year, Princeton celebrated football victories over Harvard and Yale by lighting a bonfire that sent flames and smoke curling skyward on a frigid Sunday evening.

Holiday outreach service initiatives planned .

Members of the University community will have the opportunity to share the holiday spirit through a series of community service initiatives and special events planned for December and January.

Comic artist's visit to aid Katrina efforts, Nov. 17 .

The Graduate Student Government is hosting a visit from online comic strip author Jorge Cham at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Café Vivian in the Frist Campus Center to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.

Diwali festival will be celebrated in University Chapel .

The Hindu festival of Diwali will be marked with a celebration and worship service at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, in the Princeton University Chapel. The event is free and open to the public. 

Reunions 2010 celebration is under way .

Princeton's Reunions 2010 celebration is under way, with alumni, family members and friends gathering on campus for activities through Sunday, May 30.
