Kleiner, two Princeton alumni receive 2017 Kimmel Scholar Award for cancer research

Ralph Kleiner, an assistant professor of chemistry at Princeton who received an A.B. in chemistry from the University before earning his Ph.D. from Harvard University, has been awarded a 2017 Kimmel Scholar Award.

The Sidney Kimmel Foundation annually awards 15 of the nation's promising young cancer researchers $200,000 in recognition of their work. This year's awardees include two other researchers who are Princeton alumni: Hani Goodarzi of the University of California-San Francisco who received a Ph.D. in molecular biology from Princeton; and Joseph Mancias of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute who received an A.B. in chemistry from Princeton.
