The Princeton University Board of Trustees has approved the appointment of two new assistant professors to the faculty.
Ethan Russo, in philosophy, joined the faculty on Jan. 16. Russo, who specializes in metaphysics, logic and ancient Greek philosophy, holds a Ph.D. from New York University, as well as a B.A. and B.S.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Kyle Mitchell Pietrzyk, in civil and environmental engineering, joins the faculty in September 2026. Pietrzyk specializes in multiscale modeling of porous media systems, mesoscale materials simulation, and nonlinear control design for energy systems. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and an M.S. and B.S. from Santa Clara University.
