Talk examines impact of migration in China

"International Return Migration and its Political Impact in China: Contexts, Dynamics and Comparisons" is the title of a lecture by Donglin Han, a fellow of the Princeton-Harvard China and the World Program, at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, in 1 Robertson Hall.

The Program in Law and Public Affairs at Princeton University will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a major public conference titled "Law@Princeton." Beginning with a keynote address by Provost Christopher Eisgruber on at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 in McCormick Hall, Room 101, the conference will continue all day Friday and much of Saturday, Oct. 22 and 23, in Robertson Hall. It will include 12 panel discussions featuring more than 50 distinguished scholars from around the world who have been fellows at LAPA since its founding.

Talk explores international development, religion .

Katherine Marshall, a longtime World Bank official and Princeton graduate alumna, will discuss the interplay between international development efforts and religion in a lecture set for 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, in 16 Robertson Hall.

Lecture examines China's rise .

Edward Steinfeld, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and director of the MIT-China Program, will deliver a lecture titled "Playing Our Game: China's Rise and the West" at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, in 2 McCosh Hall.

EU ambassador, former Irish prime minister Bruton to speak .

John Bruton, the European Union's ambassador to the United States, will speak on "The Trans-Atlantic Relationship: A Thing of the Past or of the Future?" at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.

Talk focuses on China, U.S. and Russia after Cold War .

Utah State University political scientist Kai He will deliver a lecture titled "Undermining Enemies: Negative Balancing and Strategic Choices of China, the United States and Russia After the Cold War" at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in 1 Robertson Hall.

Fung Fellows to focus on the 'International Society' .

Six outstanding early career scholars from around the world have been named the fourth cohort of the Fung Global Fellows at Princeton University. They will arrive on campus this fall to begin a year of research, writing and collaboration.
