Campbell named assistant vice president for campus services

Amy Campbell, who has served as executive director of campus services and planning for University Services since 2012, has been named assistant vice president for campus services. Campbell has been an administrator at Princeton University for 19 years.

Campbell, who also served as an administrator in campus life and athletics, will help facilitate an integrated service approach within all University Services units and provide strategic leadership to enhance service coordination across campus. She will continue to report to Vice President for University Services Chad Klaus.

In her previous role as executive director, Campbell directed University Services' transition to a new, integrated services model and oversaw its implementation across units within University Services. In her new role, Campbell will continue managing new University Services initiatives and collaborate with offices across campus to enhance the delivery of daily services for faculty, staff and students.

As assistant vice president, Campbell is responsible for overseeing the following operational units: Campus Venues Services; Conference and Event Services; University Scheduling; Print and Mail Services, including the Digital Print Center; and Transportation and Parking Services, including contracted service partners.

Campbell said it is an honor to have the opportunity to serve in her new role.

University Services has oversight of the offices of Conference and Event Services; Contract Management and Trademark Licensing; Campus Dining; Frist Campus Center; Housing and Real Estate Services; Print and Mail Services; Richardson Auditorium; Transportation and Parking; University Scheduling; and Business, Marketing and Communications for University Services, including TigerCard and University Ticketing.

With more than 35 years of experience working in education, Campbell has since 2006 helped lead a number of initiatives to enhance student life and campus culture within the Office of the Vice President for Campus Life, including serving as co-chair of the Alcohol Coalition Committee. From 1988 to 1999, Campbell worked in the Department of Athletics, ultimately serving as senior associate director of athletics for intercollegiate and non-intercollegiate sports.

Campbell served as director of athletics and physical education, and as a senior lecturer, at Bryn Mawr College. She also worked in various athletic administrative and coaching positions at Boston University, Connecticut College, Hathaway Brown School in Ohio and Milton Academy in Massachusetts.

A graduate of Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, Campbell has a master's degree in education from Boston University.
