Renovations to A level at Dillon Gym completed

The "A level" renovation of Dillon Gym has been completed, and new locker rooms are available for Dillon Gym patrons.

The locker rooms had been closed since May to allow for the overhaul of the A level facilities. The renovations include six gender-inclusive and family restrooms and shower areas. Rooms were added for the varsity men's and women's volleyball teams, a multipurpose room was constructed for sport clubs, and corridors were added for better access throughout the A level.

"These renovations help make Dillon Gym more accessible to everyone," David Leach, senior associate director of athletics who oversees Campus Recreation, said at a gym open house Dec. 14. "The renovations have created a space everyone can feel comfortable in."

The University Office of Design and Construction directed the work. The general contractor was Irwin & Leighton, and the architects were from the Atkin, Olshin and Schade firm.
