UPDATE: Frist Campus Center reopens

Frist Campus Center was evacuated for about 45 minutes over the noon hour Wednesday, Jan. 18, after the odor of what was initially thought to be natural gas was detected. The Princeton Fire Department and University Facilities Organization workers determined instead that the odor was coming from a sewer drain.

People were let back into the building about 12:50 p.m. and normal operations resumed.

Firefighters were called to the Frist Campus Center at Princeton University early Saturday morning, Feb. 24, and put out a fire in the basement.

All clear issued for unsubstantiated threat--UPDATED 5 P.M. .

No threatening materials were found in a sweep of the construction site of the New Chemistry Building on Princeton's campus after an unsubstantiated bomb threat was received there the morning of Friday, March 12.

Forbes College evacuated briefly for gas leak in kitchen .

About 30 people were evacuated Thursday from the main building at Forbes College after an employee reported smelling the odor associated with natural gas. A leak in the dining hall kitchen was detected in a valve leading to a stove. The gas was shut off, the building was venilated and people were allowed back inside about 50 minutes later.
