Black Arts drama troupe presents 'Flyin' West,' Feb. 23-March 3 .

The Black Arts Company: Drama troupe will present Pearl Cleage's "Flyin' West," a tale of four African American women in search of freedom, on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 23-24, and Thursday through Saturday, March 1-3. Performances will be held at the Matthews Acting Studio, 185 Nassau St. Show times are 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturdays.

Student Work: Raks Odalisque presents 'Arabian Nights' .

Raks Odalisque, Princeton's belly dancing troupe, presents "Arabian Nights" at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, March 28-29, and 6 and 9 p.m. Saturday, March 30, in the Frist Campus Center theater.

Princeton Summer Theater spotlights the 'extraordinary in the ordinary' .

Each summer, Princeton Summer Theater takes on the Herculean task of presenting four plays in eight weeks. The 45th season, which embraces the theme of finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, includes the musical "She Loves Me," the tragicomedy "Crimes of the Heart," the Hitchcock spoof "The 39 Steps," and the Tony-nominated Iraq war story "Time Stands Still."

Theatre Intime presents 'Wonderland Salvage' .

Theatre Intime will present "Wonderland Salvage," an original play written and directed by junior J.D.M. Williams, at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 1-3, and at 7 p.m. on Dec. 8-10 in the Hamilton-Murray Theater. A matinee performance also will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 10.

Eight students receive 2009 Spirit of Princeton Award .

Eight students have been named winners of the 2009 Spirit of Princeton Award, which honors Princeton University undergraduates for their positive contributions to campus life. The award recognizes students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to the undergraduate experience through contributions to student organizations, athletics, community service, religious life, residential life and the arts.

Art and science collaboration produces work-in-progress on climate change .

In a collaboration melding art with science, climate researchers and other members of the Princeton University community have joined forces with The Civilians, an acclaimed investigative theater company, to help create a work-in-progress about global climate change that will be unveiled on campus Saturday, April 17.

Arts professionals, students collaborate in new work .

Two professional directors from Philadelphia, a scenographer from New York, an ensemble of seasoned performers and a group of Princeton students are joining forces to bring a new work to the stage Friday and Saturday, April 25-26, at the Lewis Center for the Arts.
