Princeton basketball teams reach NCAAs, make school history .

For a school with an athletic history that dates to the time when Abraham Lincoln was president of the United States, it's rare to have a "first" these days. But the last few days for the Princeton University men's and women's basketball teams have been special, dramatic and ultimately historic. When the dust of a wild 10 days had settled, Princeton was in the NCAA basketball tournament for both the men and women, something that had never happened before.

The Princeton women’s basketball team won the Ivy League championship on Sunday, and learned Monday night that they will play Kentucky to open the NCAA tournament.

Princeton defeats Green Bay, advances in NCAA women's basketball tournament .

The Princeton women's basketball team defeated the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay 80-70 Saturday in the opening round of the NCAA basketball tournament. The Tigers advanced to play at 6:30 p.m. Monday against the host University of Maryland Terrapins, who defeated New Mexico State 75-57 on Saturday.

Henderson named Princeton men's basketball coach .

Mitch Henderson, a 1998 Princeton alumnus and former co-captain of the men's basketball team, has been named the new men's basketball head coach.

Princeton men win inaugural Ivy League basketball tournament, head to NCAA tournament .

The Princeton men's basketball team won the first Ivy League championship tournament Sunday, earning an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament. The Tigers, seeded 12th in the NCAA West bracket, will play fifth-seeded Notre Dame in the first round Thursday.
