Faculty chosen for endowed professorships

Nine faculty members have been named to endowed professorships, effective July 1, 2014. They are:

  • Rubén Gallo, the Walter S. Carpenter Jr. Professor in the Language, Literature and Civilization of Spain.
  • Michael Koortbojian, the M. Taylor Pyne Professor of Art and Archaeology.
  • Melissa Lane, the Class of 1943 Professor of Politics.
  • Sarah-Jane Leslie, the Class of 1943 Professor of Philosophy.
  • Atif Mian, the Theodore A. Wells ’29 Professor of Economics and Public Affairs.
  • Gabriella Nouzeilles, the Emory L. Ford Professor of Spanish.
  • Alan Patten, the Howard Harrison and Gabrielle Snyder Beck Professor of Politics.
  • James Smith, the William and Edna Macaleer Professor of Engineering and Applied Science.
  • Judith Weisenfeld, the Agate Brown and George L. Collord Professor of Religion.
